Dive into Pet-Friendly Townsville - Local Businesses for Pet Lovers
In early 2023, I went on a journey through our local pet-friendly scene, on the lookout for places that truly ‘got’ our love for pets in Townsville. These spots were more than just businesses, they were an extension of our pet-loving community.
I realised quickly, that these businesses needed to be celebrated – and to do that, I needed help.
By the end of the year, the pet loving community of Townsville had come together to nominate and cast votes on which businesses made up the TOP 10 BEST Pet Friendly Businesses of 2023. There were hundreds of votes, across a total of twenty nominated businesses!
Embracing Authenticity – What we were looking for in the pet friendly businesses:
To be considered for a Top 10 Pet Friendly Business Award, businesses must met certain criteria.
Although the criteria is left to interpretation, and isn’t overly complicated, it does the job of ensuring the pet friendly culture of Townsville is upheld.
To be eligible for nomination, a business needs to be recognised as:
- Being deeply rooted in Townsville’s rich pet culture.
- Stocking products or providing spaces that capture the very spirit of our community’s affection for pets.
- Being committed to our local pets’ well-being.
- Actively fostering a collaborative and supportive pet-friendly community, lifting other businesses along the way.
