In this list you'll find three kinds of names. First, the real names of famous rappers' pets. How do you choose the right rapper name for your dog?
- Say it out loud at the park. You'll be calling it hundreds of times, so make sure you're happy shouting it in public.
- Keep it to one or two syllables. Short names like Nas, Dre or Doja are quicker for dogs to learn.
- Avoid names that sound like commands. Names that rhyme with sit, stay, no or down can confuse your dog during training.
- Match the personality. A laid back dog suits Snoop, a big strong dog suits Biggie, and a fast dog suits Flash.
- Use it in training straight away. Pair the name with treats and praise so your dog learns it means good things.
Once your pup has a name worthy of the charts, take them out to show it off. Search the Social Pet Society directory for pet friendly cafés, parks and stays across Queensland.
